ARGH. When it rains, it pours. I've been fail due to RL anyway, and tonight? My laptop kicked the bucket and I'm on a computer that's both shared, not good for me to use for long periods, and also slowly dying. DX

SO. This means an immediate hiatus for Edgeworth, Endrance, and Rika, through the end of NS - I am SO, SO sorry, Julie, Sue, Sin, Zalia, and Anduin. >_< I'll make it up to all of you as soon as I can.

Tomorrow DS: I can keep what I've got scheduled as follows, probably, but will be slow:

- Rika and Ange
- Euphy and Lelouch

If I had plans with you (Kaze, I know we had plans, same for you, Ellie) and you absolutely have to keep them for DS 46 for whatever reason, let me know. Otherwise, since my time will be so limited, I'll have to hiatus everyone for a lot of shifts so I can keep my commitment to therapy stuff. :/

Jason thought he could hear.... animals or something as he entered the lab area. It was faint but enough to put him on edge. He stopped just inside the door, waiting to see if any immediate threats were going to appear. Nothing showed itself and he moved further inside, waiting for Two-Face to follow with his flashlight.

As he carefully checked out the room he said, "He won't be going by his real name here." There was no need to say who he was talking about. It was easier now to give Two-Face all he'd need to know about the fake. He'd made his decision and there was nowhere to go but forward. "And I don't know what alias he'll be using but it's not important."

Iiii hate to do this, but I think I need a break with a few characters. As of DS 46, both Aoyagi Ritsuka and Franziska von Karma are going to be on hiatus. Franziska's hiatus is effective immediately since I need time to review what to do with her. Ritsuka will go on hiatus as soon as dayshift starts.

I'm sorry to canonmates and anyone I had plans with, but I need time to decide what to do with them. :(

This affects forgot_it_all and iwhipthefool. The rest of my characters are still in play and if I can figure out what I'm doing, I'll bring them back for dinner shift or before then.

Here they were.

Conversation gave way to quiet observation as Lunge paused at the top of what was probably once a road, looking out onto the dark shell of a town that lay before them. Moonlight picked out the glint of glass and the ragged edges of debris scattered like fallen stars under the sheath of fog, and, rising out of that, the bent, wrecked bodies of decaying buildings. Even by the light of his flashlight he could see little fragments of what once was- a half-eaten chintz sofa, a dresser with most of the drawers missing, even a burnt-out oven tipped onto its side. Domesticity deconstructed within twenty feet of him.

It was, not to put too fine a point on it, as quiet as the grave.

This wasn't simply a matter of weathering, or a gradual collapse into disrepair. L's friend had been right- the town did look as though it might have dated from around the 1920s, even if Americana wasn't anywhere near his own field of interest. That kind of destruction simply didn't happen in less than one hundred years. Time could erode, but it couldn't bring entire buildings to their knees.

Laurier. What would he make of this? Obviously, the man had come expecting to find nothing out of the ordinary, and yet it was impossible to deny just how extraordinary this place was. He waited until Laurier was standing alongside him to speak. "I suggest we start with the church," Lunge suggested, pointing his flashlight down the road towards the remains. "That is, after all, what we came here to look at."

It's that time again. No, not hammer, miller or party time. It's tell-me-about-how-this-ability-will-affect-your-characters time! Since Stein's a doctor (...for now), this is probably only relevant if you end up as his experiment patient, but if he sees you in Doyleton or some other time, it could matter! So, here we go! Doctor time is almost upon us, which means this needs to get sorted out fast. First of all, keep in mind that each player can only have one of their characters in therapy. There just aren't enough doctors to account for all of the patients, unfortunately. (Remember that you can switch which character gets therapy next time this happens, so it isn't like it'll be set in stone if you end up wanting to change things around.)

Some of you already have assignments, but a lot of those have now gotten misplaced due to a few doctors dropping out. But as mentioned, you are allowed to switch, especially since we have a few new doctors. Here is the current roster:

Anyway! If you currently have a character that is assigned to a doctor, take POLL 1.

If you do not have a character assigned to any doctor, take POLL 2.

EVERYONE HAS TO FILL OUT THIS POLL. If you don't fill it out, none of your characters will be in therapy.

Also, the rules for how we do all of this:

1) Each doctor gets an equal amount of patients: By dividing the character count of the community, we figure out how many patient slots each doctor has.

2) Players with a previously-listed character who want that character to keep their doctor WILL keep their slot. HOWEVER, IF YOU DO NOT VOTE IN POLL 1 EVEN AFTER WE PUT UP A WARNING/REMINDER POST OF WHEN THE POLLS CLOSE, YOU FORFEIT THAT SPOT. (This, of course, excludes people on excused hiatus.)

3) Players with new characters or who want to change doctors get randomized according to who they ask for, and who gets first priority depends on the luck of the draw. (Characters listed as "don't care" will fill up the empty slots at the end.)

4) If, when your character comes up, all slots are taken for their first-choice doctor, your character defaults to their second choice, and if those slots are all taken up, your character defaults to their third choice, and... we hope your third choice doesn't get filled up. D: (We're making the results of the polls public so that you can see which doctor ends up being the most popular and maybe make a decision based on that if you aren't really set on anyone.)

5) PLAYERS WHO DON'T VOTE IN EITHER POLL WILL NOT GET TO HAVE ANY OF THEIR CHARACTERS IN THERAPY. We will put up reminders to make sure everyone sees the polls, but once they close you've lost your chance. Sorry. :\

Sorry to those I'm threading with! I've been so slow in posting the last few days- I super promise I'll get back to posting in a day or so. I've been working on these Christmas costumes and a custom plush for a trade, and my creativity has been sapped unbelievably by diverting it into those areas.

Sorry again! The Scarecrow, Leonard, and Edgar will be back to normalish posting as soon as I get these costumes done, honest. Until then, they're going to be slower than normal. :x

I'm going to go on slow posting until December 15. That's when my semester ends, and I'm behind on one class, don't know what's up with another class, and I'm getting sick. PLUS I have performance finals next week, and I have to actually work hard on those since, like I said, SICK. 8|

I'll be around, but not as much as I have been recently. I should have said something a few days ago, so to those of you I'm threading with, sorry.

This affects Asch the Bloody, Allen Walker, and Haine Rammsteiner. In theory it affects Tim Drake as well, but he hasn't been doing anything this NS anyway since Nightwing-mun is having really bad comp issues.

Hopefully when the semester break hits I'll be better off. I'm sure I will.

Slow posting is lasting longer than I thought, I'm getting flipped from nightshift to day to night again at work. Might be slow posting for a few days, need to see how Monday turns out.
